That day when it snowed

A moment of morning snow.

Then it all turned to slush.

January feels a lot colder than December was.
I'm wondering when all this beautiful snow will come back again. It's just not right to have temperatures drop to the high twenties and have no flurries.
I hear the city closes down every time when it snows and people go sledding down the hills of my neighborhood.

Down by the wharf

Seattle has a new ferris wheel. It's magical down there when the sun is setting.
Everything glows and I like to hear the seagulls call while they're flying across the fishy air.

A few of my favorite things

from left to right
Encounters with the neighborhood kitties.
Hanging garden lights that glow at twilight.
Spending time with my cats as they bird watch on the window sill.
Eating scones that aren't dry.
Seasonal Starbucks drinks.
Finding things in red that nature brings this time of the year

Seattle snippets

I haven't posted much about my move and everything else that comes with living in a new city. So here goes!

From top left to right;
My neighborhood movie rental shop. Loving the blue doors!
Crab apples I found near my apartment.
Caleb and I at Cal Anderson Park where we frequent to eat burgers and cupcakes, play fetch, and people watch.
A Fremont Sunday afternoon spent at the market and exploring the neighborhood.
Around the hill where trees like these are abundant.
The sky at dusk - My favorite time of day.
A Bainbridge Island home where we had delicious bbq with some awesome people and some awesome dogs.
Seattle by the Bainbridge Island ferry.

South Lake Union

A little excursion in celebration of the sun deciding to camp out all day.
I learned quickly that this doesn't happen much here in Seattle and when the sun comes out it's really vital you don't miss it.

So I headed for the lake to spend some time out in the sun with my pup. It was my first time seeing South Lake Union and little did I know, Seattle loves boating and sailing just as much as they do for hiking.

Seattle

I have been living here in Washington for two months. Just saying that feels surreal because it feels much longer. I know I haven't made a peep on my blog since leaving Hawaii and now that I'm back, I'm having the hardest time writing, but there's plenty to share!
I guess I'll start by saying this; Seattle is cold, it's very much green, and very beautiful.

Woosh

This is my dog.
This is my dog doing what all dog's in the world love to do.

Being in the moment and taking the world a sniff at a time.

A little bit of the ocean

We took a little break from all our moving frenzy and went to the farmer's market and a well needed visit to our long lost friend; the beach.

I'll miss you Pacific. I know you're still going to be there near Seattle, but you're at your
best here in Hawaii, in my opinion.
